Nobu offers authentic and affordable lunch sets includes doburi set, sushi set, teriyaki sets, etc. I had the popular  CREATE YOUR OWN BOX 自選便當午餐 (HK$388), which includes your own selection of 3 cold appetizers, 3 hot dishes, and served with miso soup and rice.

Cold appetizers

Toro Tataki with Yuzu Miso 霜降燒金槍魚腩刺身配柚子味噌

The toro was tender and flavorful, very refreshing appetizer.

Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño 油甘魚刺身伴南美辣椒

Fresh yellowtail sashimi with a western twist, the spicy Jalapeño pairs well with the juicy sashimi.

Bara-Chirashi  雜錦魚生飯 was so beautiful, but wasn't the portion of the fish a bit too small? Nevermind, as long as it tastes not bad.

Hot dishes

Pan-fried Japanese Sole with Shiso Salsa  煎日本鰈魚配紫蘇洋蔥醬

The sole was nicely seared, with a crispy outer-layer. I love the shiso salsa very much, which has a very clean taste yet works well with the fish.

Baked Scallop with Serrano Aioli 焗帶子伴辣味蒜蓉蛋黃醬 was a signature dish as Nobu. The scallop itself was incredibly tenet, the Aioli was a bomb, the entire piece just melted in my mouth and the flavor was heavenly food. The Black Cod Saikyo Yaki 鱈魚西京燒 on the side was nothing outstanding nor special compare to the scallops.

The service was quite good, very friendly and efficient. The view was just breathtaking! Overall, the lovely bento box was worth a try.
