Singapore | Salt Grill & Sky Bar (Weekend brunch)

Looking for a perfect weekend brunch with awesome view in Singapore? Salt Grill & Sky Bar would be your perfect destination. After having a wonderful lunch here, i decided to give their brunch a try as well.

We made a reservation two days in advance and requested for a window table. Arrived around 11:15 on Saturday and we are the first guest there.


Some complimentary bread to start with, served with olive oil and dukkah – a concoction of macadamia, cashew, sesame, cumin, coriander and salt. As i mentioned before, the bread looks quite normal, but really crispy, even till we finish our brunch course. The chef’s creative dukkah is very different from the dippings in other restaurants, but definitely a nice try.


Brunch menu is $40++ per person, include a egg dish or pancakes, with 2 sides of your choice, and fresh juice as well as coffee or tea. The price is quite reasonable, because even you eat out at a cafe, the egg dishes would come at $20++. Here you can also get 2 sides, juice, coffee or tea, and most importantly, the brilliant view and the ambiance. We had fresh orange juice.


French Toast with srcambled eggs, bacons, spinach, mixed mushrooms (Two sides: baked beans, rocket & pear salad)

The portion is quite big and can fill you up for the whole afternoon (of shopping in the area :). The french toast itself is quite good, not those kind of dry one, not oily or over buttery neither. Most of the sides are vegetables except the bacons, isn’t that a healthy start of the weekend?


Eggs Benedict: Salmon Gravlax,  poached eggs, house made crumpets, spinach and hollandaise (Two sides: Pear & Rocket salad, mixed mushrooms)

The poriton of eggs benedict  seems much smaller than the previous one, but its actually the same! Different from the eggs benedict served in other places, the poached eggs were served on their house made crumpets.


The eggs are perfect poached, the yolk running out as soon as i cut it into two halfs. I cannot wait to having this!!


The side of house cured salmon was very fresh and juicy, not over-salted.


While the crumpets base was too hard and not fluffy enough for my liking,  the traditional English muffins or sourdough work better for me.  But the overall taste of this egg dish was really good. The hollandaise sauce is not very heavy but the taste is good.Such an indulgence Saturday morning.


Salt grill & Sky bar is a nice place to catch up with friends or family on a lazy weekend, nice food with perfect view of the city on 55th floor. While the service was quite slow, we waited for almost an hour for our food, and it was already 2pm+ when we left. ( we arrived at 11:15 am!) The restaurant ws not very crowded during brunch, there was more people there during weekday lunch.
