Singapore | Coastes: Sunset Dinner in Sentosa

‘ Situated along a golden stretch of Sentosa’s Siloso Beach, Coastes offers a rustic charm and casual laid-back beach vibe where the sunbeds and deck chairs flow right to the water’s edge. Enjoy premium beers, house pour spirits and hearty beach food at this newly renovated breezy beach bar.’01

These words might be the best definition for Coastes. The decoration of the restaurant is consists mainly of blue and white, which fits the beach and ocean perfectly.

It’s self service which means you don’t need to pay service charge. Simply make your oder at the counter in front of the open-kitchen. You can also see the chefs working and cannot wait for our food when we smell the mouth-watering barbecue seafood.

House Salad (small, $12)

When i was ordering, i asked the server how big is the salad and she told me its just a small bowl. And i ended up with ordering one small house salad and one Caesar Salad ($14) because  both of us are plant based eaters. While the portion is really big so we cancelled the Caesar salad as the kitchen haven’t start making it yet. The salad is really fresh and taste not bad.

Garlic Prawns ($16)

We are afraid we cannot finish the main dish as we are going to have pizza, so we order the garlic prawns from the snacks menu. It comes with a iceberg base and a side of toasted baguette. The prawns are very fresh and tender, tastes really good. But bit too oily for us, i think that’s why they comes with baguette.

Hot Seafood Pizza ($22)

We love pizza especially those with thin crust. The hot seafood pizza is just a perfect choice for seafood lovers like us. It is 12” but not very full-filling because it is really thin as you see. The pizza is really good and there’s large portion of seafood on the top, include scallops, prawns, clams. The amount of cheese won’t make you feel too heavy. Although it is called hot seafood pizza, it’s not really spicy. Love it.

Cheesy Dog ($15)

We ordered this for the kid and she loves it. Both of the hotdog and the bun were perfect char-grilled, comes with super crispy fries. She doesn’t eat too much for most of the times, but she ended up eating almost the whole hotdogs.

Heineken ($14/bottle)

Seafood, pizza, beer…Sunset and the people you love…

We spent a great time having dinner at Coastes. Great food and perfect ambiance. It is probabley the best restaurant on the beach in Sentosa. Great place to go with your friends or families on the weekends or after work, enjoy the great food with breeze from the ocean and beautiful sunset. Yes, sometimes we just need such escape.

  1. My apologies if I have contacted you in the past.

I publish the following lists which are based on a survey of experienced diners:

I have expanded the survey to include Asian restaurants, and I am hoping to publish a list of the top Asian restaurants next spring. I noticed that your blog includes a number of reviews of restaurants on the continent, and I am writing to you to see if you would like to participate. Many of the top bloggers in the US & Europe are already participating. I would encourage you to add reviews of restaurants in the U.S. and Europe as well.

I can also accommodate uploading your reviews via an Excel spreadsheet. If you would like to do that, please register and then send me an email and I will give you instructions about what to do.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Otherwise click on the link below and register. The pre-certification code is the word olive. You can find a list of the Top 100 reviewers on the landing page.

Thanks and maybe one day we can catch a meal together.
