Aiming to delight its guests with only the best culinary experiences, the Group’s expertise and creativity will surely bring the most genuine tastes of Vietnam to even the most discerning connoisseurs.

Serving upscale Hué-style food, An Nam features the best of authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a warm and elegant setting. The dining experience at An Nam evokes the atmosphere of the era of Vietnamese colonial style.

Mussels in Clay Pot ($198) 洋蔥白酒燴青口

Bascially mussels cooked with white wine, tomato, garlic and onions in clay pot. There are about 6 mussels each portion, but every mussel was huge! The mussel meat inside the shell was very fresh, and have no smelling or dirts inside. Very chewy and bouncy texture.

Seafood Pomelo Salad ($138) 柚子海鮮沙律

Very fresh and delight ingredients, the entire bowl was nicely seasoned with Vietnamese salad dressing, which is a sour-sweet. The prawns were also huge and fresh. At this point, i found An Nam is somehow the best Viet restaurant i have tried in Hong Kong.

Soft Shell Crab Rice Paper Rolls ($108) 軟殼蟹米紙卷

Fresh rice paper rolls filled with soft shell crabs and green mango. I am a big fan of rice paper rolls, i’d like to order this everytime i see it on the menu.  The rice paper roll skin was really thin, and you can see all the large amount of fresh ingredients inside, as well as the perfectly deep-fried soft crab.

Wok-fried Morning Glory ($98) 馬拉盞炒通菜

Dipped into some housemade fish sauce, the whole piece was really a bomb! It was definitely the best rice paper roll i have ever had. (plus i have been to Vietnam before) Very fresh and clean taste, with a light twist of spice.

Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup ($98) 安南牛肉湯河粉

It is said that, the quality of Pho can simply tells the quality of a Vietnamese restaurant. It that’s the case, An Nam must be the top Vietnamese restaurant in Hong Kong. It comes with large portion ofThinly sliced beef with flat rice noodle in superior beef broth, side with a lot fresh sprouts. The soup was simply amazing!

Lotus Tea ($48)

I may say that this was the best Vietnamese dining experience so far, the ambiance is quite good and very “Viet”. Service was okay but not outstanding. And most importantly, we love the food here – very high quality ingredients and superb flavor! It is a quite hot place, reservation is highly recommended. Otherwise, try to walk-in before 6:30pm. I am sure you will have a great experience as we did!

  1. Love the decor!

imo, I have a real problem when Vietnamese restuarants sell Rice Paper Spring Rolls in halves and charge a ridiculous amount. You buy a whole 100 for $500 HKD, prep and all and you charge for 2 (in half makes 4) $108? That’s a stinker!

The best place for Pho I found is in Sydney and Melbourne – the beef is so fresh! Pity in japan, given the expensive nature of beef required to import for this dish, we don’t get this often.

Glad you enjoyed it tho, there’s one tucked away in SOHO as you climb the stairs on the right forgot it’s name, the decor is so worn out though. I should try this if I have time this time round.,
