Awarded three Michelin stars by the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong and Macau for three consecutive years. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon opened its doors in Hong Kong in 2006, based on a new concept which Joël Robuchon created in Tokyo in 2003. The décor of the L’Atelier restaurant series is contemporary chic featuring lush red velvet seating complemented by dark wood furniture.
L’Atelier is designed with a circular bar enveloping an open kitchen, allowing customers to witness all aspects of cooking, from food preparation to the plating of dishes. The menu offers a variety of great French classics in innovative tapas-style portions.
Robuchon’s bread basket is always the most flourishing one among all the fine dining restaurants i have been to. Comapare to Robuchon au dome and Robuchon Singapore, this one offers the signature croissant! Surprise 🙂
The lentil dish in the front was inspired by a twist of curry, which was very flavorful. The green smooth on the back was very refreshing.
The scallops were huge and perfectly seared – a very crispy outerlayer but juicy, tender in the center. The coriandre sauce was flavorful.
The soup was served in a lovely squash, it smells incredibly delicious. Indeed, it was warm, smooth and high in flavor. Very comfort and delicious soup.
The combination of the tender turkey and melt-in-mouth foie gras was great. The sauce works perfect.
L’ATERLIER de Joel Robuchon is no doubt one of the best French restaurant in Hong Kong. We were pretty impressive with he tasting menu that night, the service was great, 10/10, very modern but highend ambiance. Compare to au dome, i much prefer Robuchon HK.
